LRD research on green workplaces
LRD undertakes research for the TUC on the impact of unions on greening the workplace
LRD has carried out research for the TUC looking at the extent to which unions have played a role in changing the impact that workplaces have on the environment.

The report, The Union Effect: greening the workplace, examined six case studies, three in the public and three in the private sector. It showed that in all six environmental impacts had been reduced and unions had been involved. However, the extent of union involvement varied considerably - from playing a role in winning employees support, to driving the whole process.

The report was presented at the TUC's Green Reps' Conference on 11 July.
