Bright new magazine for trade unionists
Labour Research, the UK's leading magazine for trade unionists, has undergone major changes to bring together all the current favourite elements of the magazine with useful additional sections in a brighter format.

It has a completely new design, including a full-colour cover, with news, features and regular sections set out in a clear and attractive fashion.

The emphasis is on providing busy trade unionists with immediate, accessible information on issues they have to deal with at work, together with comprehensive news of what is going on in other workplaces and unions.

There is an extended law section, including a question and answer page dealing with legal problems and rights at work. And there is expanded coverage of industrial news and industrial relations developments, web site reviews for trade unionists and a diary of trade union events.

Notes to editors

The September 2000 launch issue of the new Labour Research includes: a unique look at the highs and lows of recognition campaigns; an examination of today's union recruitment efforts; the union response to the lifelong learning challenge; and the magazine's annual survey of executive pay.
Labour Research is published by the Labour Research Department, an independent trade union and labour movement organisation founded 89 years ago. More than 2,000 trade union organisations, including 55 national unions representing 99% of total TUC membership, are affiliated.
